That windshield mount on the left could be fixed with Nutt inserts. Perfect for thin sheet metal. I have even put washers on both sides of the insert to spread the load out. Figured id mention it

Wiper blade truck, push the spring part that makes them stand up. If you do that it releases some tension. They are on a tapered bolt so the tighter they are, the harder to get off

Anytime you lift a vehicle you have to drive it or have it on roll plates and jounce it, or else you get a false read on ride height which will throw off anything your trying to adjust for an alignment

Keep future added weight on reinforcement and other stuff in mind when you upgrade the suspension and thing also about other parts that may get higher wear because of the weight and the vibrations.

The hood needs to be down, and the wipers flipped up on the spring to remove them. The tapered larger hole of the arm is well seated at an angle with all the spring pressure, and biting into soft metal of a smaller diameter otherwise. Ain't gonna happen flat against the window. All these comments about the wiper arms - maybe one is correct. Every car I ever had (8) has had an arm removed, repainted or replaced at some time, plus all the junkyard finds.

I would have made a backing plate that matched up and step drilled through the wiper idler mount. You may still have problems with it

Where are those shows

They make small pullers for those pesky wiper blades. Sometimes pulling on the wiper blade with the nut on and then giving it a small tap with the hammer will break it loose and stop yourself from rolling on to the floor like you did😅

Pull the wiper off the windshield so it's like an L shape then just jiggle it back and forth and it comes right off

If you take the bump stop off you'll get an extra three inches or so. We used to do that with the mini trucks

If u put little bit of silicone on plastic clips before instalin them It will help

I absolutely love the build, my only change if any, there wouldn’t be a single nut and bolt installed without loctite and nylocks.

Most window wipers dont come off the shaft until you bend it back slightly (the arm with the spring) You pull the wiper arm up then get a nice thick flat blade screwdriver or even an open ended spanner to apply force on the opposite side. I've sat there for an hour before trying to remove them. When I realised how to do it easily they come off no problem. Any car. Also the bump stops for the rear axle arent meant to be touching the axle the entire time its on the ground 👀

should have put some loctite on them wiper bolts :D you will see why later ;)

It would have been much easier if the hood was taken off I think but love the content and just doing whatever needs done just jump in and get that shiz done no matter what much respect and I can’t wait for the numbers once it is all tuned.

O yea you should of put locktite and tightened all the bolts on the van

Would use self securing screws. These “normal” screws come loose due to the bass rattling.

Wiper arms comes of easily when u push joint inwards it brakes loose then

I worked for a glass place. It was so easy to take those off. All you have to do is lift. Open the wiper up and it'll pull right off.

Traffic bass reactions

Yea you’re in for a lot more workin the future if youre trying to keep the van roadworthy.. every light bulb thats not led is gonna blow out, exhaust hangers, suspension will still need more beef, every nut and bolt on the motor, inside and out will need loctited or wired up and retorqued, when the glass goes its gonna be a pain also. But already got most of the kinks worked out.. just part of it..

you need a steel master with a clip like old ford

you need airbags, off a bus

all the nuts should been nylocks or double nut with loctite
